Red wine and dijon vinaigrette are SO easy to make; it only takes five minutes to prepare. This red wine and dijon vinaigrette is a tangy, flavourful dressing that you can make yourself at home.

I love a good salad just as much as the next gal, but, one key element can not be missing in my salad. That’s the dressing! A salad is just a bunch of lettuce on a plate if there’s no dressing to make it pop with flavour. I’ve gone a full circle when it comes to salad dressings, I love a rich creamy salad dressing but lately I’ve been really into making vinaigrettes. There’s just something about that strong tangy flavour that goes so well with a salad. Not to mention if you add a hint of something sweet like cherries, strawberries or any other berries or fruit to the salad as well.

How to make red wine and dijon vinaigrette

Making a red wine vinaigrette is so easy and only takes five minutes to prepare. The store-bought ones are often filled with unnecessary ingredients and many aren’t vegan because they contain milk products. When you make your own vinaigrette, you know exactly what you put in it, how much salt is in the vinaigrette and how much sugar. For me, that is a very important point as we are always trying our best to learn about healthy eating. Reducing sugar and being mindful of how much salt I consume are two things I think are important for my health.
